Lake Wales Care Center

Lake Wales Care Center is a faith based community service organization which demonstrates Christ’s love by building bridges between people in need and people with a desire to serve.

People helping people helping people. That’s Lake Wales Care Center. That’s its function, purpose and its reason for being.

Like most American towns, Lake Wales has people in need. For whatever reason, they need food, clothing, medical help, shelter, homebound care, or a mentor. Lake Wales also has some very compassionate people. We have people who are able to help, and who recognize and honor the Biblical instruction to help a neighbor in need. They are willing to give generously of their time, resources, talents and expertise.

Between these two groups, there exists a wide gulf. How does one group reach the other without the risk of lost time, wasted resources, and misplaced effort? That is where Care Center functions; bridging the gap, and enabling one group to reach the other. Care Center staff and volunteers give of their time and talents in a most practical way; they become the PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE HELPING PEOPLE!

Lake Wales Care Center is currently celebrating our 37th Anniversary. For more information call our main office at 863–676– 6678.

Refuge on the Ridge

From Pastor Andy Blair

Hello, and welcome to Refuge on the Ridge. We are so glad you have taken a moment of your time to learn about an organization that is so close to my heart. As someone who has endured and overcame my own struggle with addiction, I understand the importance of recovery options that provide more than just rehabilitation services. Our team is proud to introduce this faith-based residential regeneration program in Lake Wales and guide men towards sobriety through a God-centered life.

During my battle with addiction, I found healing and peace through my relationship with God and His word. It was then I realized how imperative a spiritual foundation has on the recovery process. God has placed it on my heart to form Refuge on the Ridge and offer hope and faith to those facing the same challenges I once did.

As I take on the new title of Pastor and Executive Director of Refuge on the Ridge, our team is excited for the transformations God will undoubtedly bring to Lake Wales, Polk County, and across this nation. This venture will bring hope to the hopeless and healing to those who feel broken. Our team will help you foster a personal relationship with God as you grow closer to Him and further from your addictions.

Catalyst Resources Int.

Catalyst Resources International was founded by Fontaine and Paula Greene in 2008. CRI is a registered 501 (c)(3) organization that seeks to partner with Guatemalan pastors and other Christian organizations in an effort to meet the physical and spiritual needs of the people. CRI hosts work teams and families that come to minister in Guatemala. The scope of the work done through CRI is to build houses and churches, establish feeding programs, conduct VBS, support medical and dental clinics, and provide chicken coops for needy families. We have found that meeting these physical needs has opened doors to share the Gospel of Jesus Christ. CRI then directs the people they serve to a local church and partners with the local pastor to continue meeting the needs of the people. Through partnership and shared resources, CRI strives to be good stewards of all that God has entrusted to them.

In response to the heart of Jesus Christ towards the "least of these" revealed to us in Matthew 25:34-40, Catalyst Resources International exists as an advocate for the children of Guatemala and serves as a catalyst connecting resources to the needy in order to clothe the naked, take food to the hungry, and give water to those who are thirsty.
