And a loving fellowship that believes that when one accepts Jesus Christ as Savior, God places that person in the Church (Acts 2:47; I Corinthians 12:8) SALVATION alone is a criteria enough for membership in any congregation of the Church of God. We maintain that membership by participating in the body life of the church through worship, prayer, fellowship and ministry.
We believe that the BIBLE is our rule of faith and the foundation for instruction in the Christian life (II Timothy 3:16). It should be studied and lived out in our lives. It is on this basis that we serve and minster and find our unity, not in creeds of theological doctrines but in the holiness of God and the person of Jesus Christ.
You will find a wealth of opportunities in worship, Christian education, music ministry, children and youth ministries, as well as Christian service, witness and fellowship. First Church of God, however, is far more than programs. Primary, it is people striving to be a caring congregation, taking personally Christ’s commission to share His love and Gospel with everyone. We are here to minister to you as well as prepare you to minister to other.
